Day 19 -- 8/27

Hey everyone!  I tried sending an update from my phone, but it didn't come out right.  I came to the computer to see how it looked, and it was all funky in like 5 different posts. Oh well...

Real quick update, I've got a lot going on today, and shouldn't even be on the computer right now!

I weighed in this morning at 137!!!!  That's 14 pounds down.  Only 1 more to meet my original goal of 15.  Two more to get to where I'd really like to be.  I think I can work on that in the next couple weeks during the maintenance phase.

Today we are going to attempt to go camping out at Lake Mohave.  I say attempt due to the weather forecast for today and tomorrow.  We are going to go, and hopefully we can stay!

Today, tomorrow, and Sunday are the last three days of my 21 day program.  I am going to be honest with you all... I plan on cheating tonight. I'm going to drink dammit. :)  I've gone to way to many birthday parties, parties, and events in the last 19 days where I haven't been able to have a few drinks and really enjoy myself... so I'm treating myself! I might drink tomorrow aswell, if we are still out there! lol

Well, that is all for now... I have to run! Lots of stuff to do before we take off.

If anyone has ANY questions... please don't hesitate to comemnt and ask.. or you can email me at kiralinda@hotmail.com

Hope everyone has a fun and safe weekend.  I will weigh myself again Sunday morning, and update then. :)

Day 18 -- 8/26

Good Morning Y'all!  Today I weighed in at 138.5!  Love it!!! 13 pounds down! I only have 2 more to go to meet my goal.  But I'd love to lose 3 more to make it to 135lbs.  We'll see.

I start my 1500 calorie diet on Monday.  I'm excited to be able to eat yogurt and cheese, and drink milk!  I will have to start logging in my food journal again though! For SURE!  This last weekend and this week I've been slacking big time.

Well, I'm off to go help in my daughters kindergarten class... I just had to do a quick update to share the weight loss with you all!

Day 17 - 8/25

Hey Hey Hey!  Today I weighed in at 139, AGAIN. :(  well, I lost a little more than half a pound. I wasn't looking at the rest of the numbers before.  But when I hit 139, it was actually 139.9, but hey, I made it to 139!  Yesterday it was also 139.9.  Today though, was 139.2.  So I'm happy with that.

I think I know one reason why I'm not losing as I could be... I haven't been walking or doing any exercising at all.  I just haven't been pushing myself.  I think I got too happy about losing, and lost track of what I needed to do. Today I did a yoga/cardio video.  I bought this video at Target in the dollar bins! I loved it! It was a mix of cardio, yoga, and pilates.  I only did 30 minutes of it.  It is a 55 minute video.  But I got a late start and I had stuff I had to do.  I felt good after the 30 minutes though!

Still eating the same old same old... as usual.  :)  I'm so used to it now... it doesn't bother me, and I'm never hungry.  I wish I could stay like this forever!!!

Day 16 -- 8/24

Well Good day!  I weighed in at 139 again this morning.  I'm seeing a pattern here. Anyone else seeing this?  I lose 1 pound then stay for two days, then lose another pound, then stay for two days.  Well, at least I'm still losing.  I only have 4 more pounds to go!

I set my goal to lose 15 pounds.  I originally started at 147, but during my first two days while "gorging" I gained 4 pounds. (Which they say is totally normal, they said you might gain 6 pounds.)
So I started the weight loss journey at 151.  So 15 pounds from there would leave me at 136.  But I really want to make it a nice number of 135.  Doesn't that just sound better?!  lol

So I had something weird happen to me last night.  I put the kids to bed and I actually fell asleep with them for a while.  I woke up to a phone call from my husband.  He was doing a moving job to Utah.  He called to tell me goodnight.  So from there I got out of the kids' bed and went to my own.  I was feeling weird.  It almost felt like I was hungry, but I haven't felt that feeling in at least a week or longer.  But that wasn't it.  I wasn't hungry.  So I laid there for a while and finally fell asleep.  I woke up to turn over at some point in the night, and started feeling really sick to my stomach.  I tried to fight it off... using the old mind over matter thing... well, that didn't work.  I ran to the bathroom and started blowing chunks.  I looked at the clock afterwards and realized I had only been sleeping for about 2 hours.  I finally went back to sleep.  When I woke again for the morning, I felt fine.  I got the kids off to school and kind of felt weak.  So I treated myself to laying on the couch watching tv for a couple of hours. :)  I started feeling better finally.  But the rest of the day I was fine.  No problems eating or anything.

One of my friends kids also felt sick last night while he was eating dinner.  But I don't think he ever actually vomited.  Then her other kid got sick at school today and had to be taken home early.  But she never vomited either.  They were both just complaining of stomach aches.  So, I don't know if these are all related or not... but I'm not too worried about it at this point.  I'm hoping it was just a little bug... and it's over and done with now.

Well, goodnight for now... will write again tomorrow!  Have a good Hump Day!

Day 15 -- 8/23

Today I weighed in at ..... are you ready for this?????  139!  Yippie!!!! I'm out of the 140's! I haven't been out of the 140's since before I had my daughter 5 years ago!  Since before I even got pregnant with her!  I LOVE IT!  Totally happy about this!!!!

Now I just want to get to 135 and I will be STOKED!

I am getting more brave.  Today I didn't write down anything I ate.  Mainly because I've been eating the exact same things for the last two weeks.  I have it all memorized.  I am still measuring and weighing my food... but just haven't written it down... which also means I haven't calculated the calories.  But if I'm still eating the same exact portions I was the last two weeks, I can pretty much guess that I'm staying under the 500 calorie mark.

We'll see how the scale reacts to this!

I hope it's not a bad thing!

Day 14 -- 8/22

Hey Hey Hey!  Today I weighed in at 140 again.  :)  Loving the scale!  Can't wait til tomorrow!

This morning my hubby was a little hungover and craving some homemade food from this great little place down the street called D'Place Cafe.  So him and I went.  I sat there and watched him eat his biscuits and gravy with some kind of omelette.  Mmm, it looked good.. but I stuck to my ice water with lemon.  :)

We had a nice relaxing day laying around watching movies with the kids and such.  I stuck to my usual diet all day.. did good!

Not a whole lot of action going on today... so not much to write about.  Have a nice Monday everyone!!!

Day 13 -- 8/21

Hello again!  Today is my husbands birthday.  I haven't spent one birthday for myself or anyone in my family where I couldn't eat out, or have a drink if that was on the agenda!

This morning I weighed in at 140!  11 pounds down!  Only 4 more to go to meet my goal!  I look and feel great.  Well, I can say I feel like I look great! haha

Today we went to a little girls 2nd birthday bash.  Lots of great food, and lots of great alcohol all over the place!  Big birthday party.  I packed my days worth of food in my tiny little ice chest as I did for the River Regatta float.  I ate my chicken and asparagus for lunch on the way over to the party.  I also took my handy water bottle with.  I must say, I did great today!  I never gave in and had a drink, or ate the really really good looking hamburgers they barbecued!

So after the party, we came home, showered and got ready for the evening.  The kids were invited to a sleep over at their friends house.  So we dropped them off there and went to one of our favorite little bar/restaurants for the night.  They had a little party going on, some alcohol rep was promoting their stuff and then karaoke started shortly after.  I had a lot of fun playing darts, singing karaoke and NOT DRINKING!  I had iced tea with my own sweetener that I brought with me!  (stevia) We stayed out until about 11:30ish.

All in all it was a great day and I didn't cheat!  I feel great about that!

Day 12 --8/20

Hello readers!  Today is Friday, August 20th, 2010.

This morning I weighed in at 141.  Slowly but surely I'm getting there!  Ten pounds down!

I ate as usual today.  No cheating.  Drank lots of water.

Not much to talk about!  I feel great and totally notice my clothes fitting better!

Day 11 -- 8/19

Hello friends.  Today I weighed in at 142 again.  No biggie... I'm not worried about it!  I'm still feeling great!

Nothing much else to say for today besides the usual.  I've been walking almost 2 miles in the mornings after I get the kids off to school.

One more thing that I can't remember if I've told you all or not.  I've been drinking green tea.  I first bought the Lipton Cranberry Pomegranate green tea bags.  I love them!  I make one coffee cup full of hot water, the tea bag and I use one packet of stevia sweetener.  It's a yummy drink and I think it gives me energy!  The booklet says that it is supposed to be a pick me up and help with the weight loss.  So I've been trying to drink 1 or 2 cups of it a day.  It also gives me a break from the same ol same ol with water.  :)

Tonight for dinner I had steak (3.5 oz) and salad.  I went a little off of what the book tells you to do. I had lettuce, tomato, and cucumber in my salad.  Rather than just sticking to one type of vegetable.  I don't think it will hurt.  The book says most people still have success when mixing fruits or vegetables, but they don't recommend it.  Another thing that I did differently tonight with dinner is I used red wine vinegar with garlic taste in it. I bought it at wal-mart.  It's wal-mart brand. But there are no sugars or oils in it. So I figured it would be fine.  It tastes WAY better than just lemon juice. lol

I guess that's all for today! Until tomorrow....   :-)

Day 10 -- 8/18

Today I weighed in at 142!  Yay! One more pound down!  That brings my total to 9 pounds!  I am looking at it as 9 pounds in one week. Since last Wednesday I weighed in at 151.  And this was the day I started the drops. (After my two "fat loading days")

My husband told me he notices a difference and he is loving it as much as I am.

I really notice my tummy is flatter.  A problem area I've had since having two kids.  Not only my tummy but my sides.  Mainly right at my waistline.  Since having two kids, (12 months apart mind you!)  I've not been able to get rid of this chub I have accumulated there.  When I do start to lean down sometimes, (mainly from going to boot camp) I notice that my left side always stays bigger than my right side.  It's weird, I haven't figured that one out.  But anyhow, I have noticed that my sides are getting smaller too!  My shorts are fitting better, and I feel great.

I really do feel good.  I'm not tired in the daytime.  No headaches anymore.  And really no fatigue, unless I'm late getting to my lunch.  Then I get a little testy.  :)

Today my husband and I spent the majority of the day together doing things.  I was helping him move something for a friend.  His goal was to keep me away from the computer as long as he could today.  Well... it worked because I didn't have time AT ALL, until 7:45pm to even check my facebook!  Do you know how hard that was for me!?!  LOL

Will update again tomorrow with more progress hopefully!

Day 9 -- 8/17

Good morning everyone!  Woke up feeling refreshed today!  Weighed in at 143 again today.  No biggie.. I knew it was bound to happen. But I do need to start walking or doing some sort of easy exercising.  I wanted to start that yesterday, but I was so busy all day! So this morning after getting the kids off to school I walked 1.18 miles.  It was a "mall walk".  HaHaHa! I sweat though! It was pretty warm out.  With the sun beating on you, phew!

I have noticed I am sleeping better at night the last few nights.  I am getting a whole good nights sleep.  I am not waking up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom.  I'm not tossing and turning.  I know they say that what you eat has a lot to do with how your body feels.  Well, I am noticing it.  I'm not tired during the day really anymore either.

Well, It's only 9:30am.  Will post more about today later tonight.

As I'm updating now, that it's Thursday 8/19, this might be short. LOL  I have been so busy the last couple of days I haven't had time to blog!

Basically I had my usual 6 oz strawberries (54 calories) for breakfast.  A snack of 4 melba toasts some where between breakfast and lunch, I couldn't help it today. That was 50 calories.  Then for Lunch I made grilled "Shake-n-Bake" tilapia! It was very yummy!  I ground up about 4 melba snack toasts in the blender, and put them in a baggie with some seasonings.  Then squeezed lemon juice all over the 4 oz of tilapia, put the fish in the baggie and shook it. :)  Grilled it on the George Foreman grill. It was delicious! (about 125 calories) Also had 5 oz of sliced cucumbers with sea salt.   For a snack I ate 4.6 oz apple for 69 calories.  For dinner I grilled up 3.5 oz of chicken for 108.5 calories.  Also had 1.8 oz lettuce, 2 oz tomato, and 1 oz red onion, with lemon juice as dressing.

I really felt a craving for something sweet after dinner.  I think mainly because the kids were having dessert.  I bought some sugar free jello as a back up in case this happened.  It says in the book this is ok for some what of a cheat.  But there is no sugar and only 10 calories!  I had one of these for my dessert tonight.  I was left with about 49 calories for the day.

Oh! Also, I must tell you I think another reason my weight today stayed the same as yesterday is because I started my period.  Sorry... but had to tell you. :)  So, we will see how the rest of the week goes with the weight loss.  Not too sure what to expect.

Day 8 -- 8/16

Hello everyone!  I weighed in this morning at 143!  Yup, that's 8 pounds down since Wednesday 8/11.  I have to say, I did give myself a pat on the back this morning.

I had my hCG drops this morning and started getting the kids and myself ready for the day.  Got the kids off to school and I had lots of errands to run.  I gave the kids the last of my strawberries yesterday as a snack! Yikes!  I love having my strawberries for breakfast but was out!  So I had stopped by wally world on the way back  from running my errands and got more.  By the time I got home and put the stuff away, was able to eat, it was already 11am!  I decided to make myself a smoothie with my strawberries.  I washed and cut 6.6 oz of strawberries.  Put them in the blender with ice, water, and 3 packets of stevia.  Mmm Mmm! That was YUMMY!

Well, off to have lunch now, then get the kids from school.  Will post more of today later!

Today was overall a great day!  I didn't have any headaches or irritability!

I had 24 calories left over for the day.  Man, I thought eating 500 calories a day was going to be tough!  But somehow I keep having leftover calories!  Too bad they don't roll over to the next day! Or I could save em all up for one day... hehehe ;)

The next time I go to the store I'm taking my booklet from Simply hCG with me and going to buy a bunch of stuff to make some of the recipes out of the book.  I am now on day 8 starting to get a little burnt out on having the same thing every day pretty much.

Day 7 -- 8/15

I just wanted to write a quick little post.  I will finish it tonight or tomorrow.

I am just so excited!  All the times I've been so tempted to cheat off my diet... and HAVEN'T... well the rewards on the scale are great.  I'm so happy!

Today I woke up and weighed in at 144 pounds!  Total of 7 pounds lost so far since Wednesday, August 11th!

Totally makes this diet worth it... seeing the results, and so quick too. I'm almost half way to my goal of 15 pounds! 8 more to go.

Will post more about today later.  Have a good Sunday everyone.

So, Sunday went well...  Loved what the scale read!

Then ate great all day long.  I had a slight headache in the morning.  Those seem to be getting better.  I also noticed the last two days (Saturday & Sunday) that my hunger has diminished as well.  No afternoon headache on Sunday.

My husband had a friend in town, so he wanted to go meet him at Buffalo Wild Wings.  I agreed to go.  Boy was this going to be a big test!  I made myself some grilled (on George Foreman) tilapia.  I put it in a baggie and took it with me in my purse! :)  Robert said, "I'm sure they don't allow that." Well, they'll never know.

My husband was a tad bit hungover still from the River Regatta, he ordered onion rings, chips and salsa, and of course hot wings.  I surprisingly wasn't salivating at the mouth while he was eating these in front of me.  Even though they looked really good... and I've NEVER been to BWW and not had wings or ranch on my salad!!!   Here's a funny little story... I ordered a side salad.  Just like this "Can I please have a side salad with only lettuce, onion and tomato?" The waitress just stared at me like she didn't know what I wanted.  I said "um, can you do that?" She replied "what is it that you want?" I said "a side salad with no cheese or croutons" Then she understood.  I didn't think it was that difficult. I wasn't sure what all comes on the salad, so I just told her how I want my salad. Geesh!  LOL

I pulled out my baggie of fish and poured it on top of my salad.  Ate up the yummy fish, and squeezed lemons all over it.  I only ate about half of it.  I'm not too fond of the lemon juice on my salad.  I'd rather have balsamic vinegar or red wine vinegar.  Even though only eating half of the salad, I wasn't hungry still.  I was full enough off of the fish and half of the salad.

I also had no problem dividing up my kids' chicken and fries.  Normally I eat a couple fries here and there while dividing them up... or a bite of their chicken.  But, nope! I didn't do it!

I felt really good about myself today!  Wasn't tired, didn't have much of a headache, and only had one headache!

Day 6 -- 8/14

Let me start by saying I forgot to post my weight for 8/13.  It was 147.
Then on day 6, my weight was 145!  So I'm losing 2 pounds a day so far! Down 6 pounds!!!

Today was the River Regatta.  I packed my tiny little ice chest with my measured out portions of cucumbers, chicken, apples, and oranges. Oh, and some melba toast snacks.  Made sure there was a lot of waters in the big ice chest.

I did really good all day!  No irritability really.  I did get a headache in the afternoon which seems to be par for the course every day.  I came home around 3pm and laid down with the kids.  We were able to take a 2 and a half hour nap.  That was nice!  I woke up feeling tons better!

I wasn't even hungry after my nap.  I drank some water.  When it came around to dinner time, I made the kids dinner... but I still wasn't hungry.  I went ahead and made my steamed asparagus and heated up a portion of grilled chicken that I made the day before.  I took a few bites of each, but it just made me feel weird.  I really wasn't hungry.  So, I saved it... took a few bites later.  I was left with 59.6 calories for the day.  When really I didn't eat about half of my dinner, so I figure if I did even eat half, I was really left with 125.5 calories for the day.  I don't know if that is going to hurt me or not.... with the weight loss... but we'll see.

Friday, August 13, 2010

Day 5 -- 8/13

Oh Friday the 13th... I could have lived without you today!  It was either my body reacting to this diet or the "superstitious Friday the 13th bad luck".  Well, I didn't have so much "bad luck" but sure had a weird day!

I drank some cranberry pomegranate green tea this morning, after using my hCG drops, before eating my breakfast fruit.  I started feeling like I had more energy, but also felt jittery.  I got the kids off to school, then was getting myself ready for the day.  Let's just say I was quite emotional today! I don't know what the heck was going on... but twice today I cried!  I was hot, hungry, tired and not in a very good mood! (The being hot part did have to do with being outside in the 117 degree heat.)

We went to this little shindig this afternoon into the evening.  I took my snack of strawberries and melba toast with me... AND my good old trusty water bottle.  Well, this event we went to had all kinds of yummy smelling food vendors and yummy looking drink vendors.  Boy oh boy! Was this a test of all test for me today!  I was getting really hungry around 5:30pm.  The smells of all that food was really getting to me, making my tummy rumble!!!  I really thought about just giving into it all and cheating for the "rest" of the day.  Well, I somehow fought the urge off and decided ok, it's time for me and the kids to go. Said to my husband "I'm sorry, I have to go home and eat or else I'm gonna cave,  I can't stand it any more, I'm way too hungry to be here."

So, I'm driving home and all the sudden think to myself "oooo... that booklet said if you must eat out, one of the options is to have a hamburger protein style with lettuce, onion, tomato (no cheese, sauce or pickles).  I knew exactly what they were talking about.... yup... In-N-Out!

I had 164 calories left for the day.  I turned the car around, and went straight to In-N-Out. The kids were happy. And I was about to be REALLY happy!  So I ordered my hamburger (no cheese, pickles, or sauce like I normally have) with onions, tomato and wrapped in lettuce (protein style).  I asked the lady for a nutrition guide when I got my food.  I found that what I had ordered was 240 calories!  Actually that is with ketchup and mustard.  I didn't have those on my hamburger.  Not too sure how many calories that would take off... but I'm guessing not too much.  So, yep...I went over my calories today by 76.

The way I'm looking at it though is that it could have been a lot worse if I had given in to that pulled pork sandwich that was calling my name.  ;)

I came home and researched a little bit about cheating on this hCG diet... here is a website I found that made me feel a little better.  I also know now what to expect tomorrow on the scale.

HCG Diet - Weight Loss Cure, How and When to Cheat, Intentionally Or Accidentally

Tomorrow is a big event, the 4th Annual River Regatta here in Bullhead City, AZ on the beautiful Colorado River.

I will be attending and have my little lunch box packed with my breakfast, 6 oz strawberries,  my lunch 3.5 oz grilled chicken and 7.5 oz of cucumbers, a snack of 3 oz sliced apples and 3 oz oranges.  I also packed an extra serving of chicken just in case we are out late.  Oh, and some melba toasts.

Tomorrow is going to be another big test.  Almost everyone around me will be enjoying their "cold ones".  While I have my water bottle. ;)  Oh, and I'm sure they will be snacking on chips and such.

Hope everyone enjoys their Saturday! I might post again until Sunday.  We'll see how I feel tomorrow when I get home.

Day 4 -- 8/12

This is going to be a short post as I've run low on time!  I have had two busy days!

I want to let you know I woke up on day 2 and weighed myself... ready? 149 pounds!  I lost 2 pounds in the first day.

I did great throughout the day with my eating.  I ended the day with a leftover 46.3 calories still available to eat!

There was only really one point in the day where I felt very sluggish and had a headache.  Around 4:30pm.  I think it might be because I had my snack at 2:45, then dinner wasn't until 6pm!

Well, we will see how the next few days go.

Thursday, August 12, 2010

Day 3 -- 8/11

Day 1 on my 500 calorie a day diet along with the hCG drops.

I weighed in yesterday morning at 151 lbs. My day started out great! I felt good.

Took my drops at 7:15am. Got the kiddos ready and off to school.

8:45am had my breakfast which consisted of 9 strawberries at 5.3 oz. Comes out to 47 calories. So starting with 500 cal -47 = 453 calories left for the day. Also drank about 16 or more oz of water.

I went for a jog/brisk walk around 9 am. It was still very warm outside at 94 degrees! I went for about 2 miles.

Took my second dose of hCG drops at 11:30am.

Starting feeling pretty hungry by 11am. My tummy was telling me "hey! I am NOT used to only having 9 strawberries for breakfast lady!" Very rumbly tummy!

I tried to put off eating lunch til closer to noon or so. I drank about 24 oz of water to tied me over. It seemed to work well.
At about 1230pm I had my lunch. Measured the chicken raw, 3.5 oz. Covered it in Tony Chacheres Creole Seasoning. Cooked it on the George Foreman grill. Comes to 108.5 calories. Sliced cucumber, measured it to 5.8 oz, comes to 17.4 calories. So my lunch was 125.9 calories.
453(after breakfast)-125.9(lunch)= 327.1 left for the rest of the day.

Had to pick up my daughter from school at 1:15. Then we had to go run a couple of errands and pick up my son from pre-school. We went to Wal-Mart to get a couple of things. I started feeling hungry, so I knew it was time for my afternoon snack. I grabbed a package of fresh strawberries while I was at Wal-Mart. On the way home I drank water and ate about 4 strawberries. When I got home I weighed 4 other whole strawberries to see about how many calories I had eaten. It was 3.7oz = 33 calories. I didn't feel like eating more strawberries. I cut up a small apple. Weighed it out to be 3 oz = 45 calories. (78 calories in that snack, but I wasn't done yet.....)

One of the things I had to look for at the store was "melba toast". Well, I couldn't find it but the closest thing I did find is wasa light rye crispbread. 60 calories per serving, serving size 2 slices.
0g total fat, 0mg cholesterol, 70mg sodium, 14g carbs, 3g fiber, 0g sugar, 2g protein.
I looked up the nutrition facts on melba toast and found that this;
3 pieces melba toast = 50 calories, 0g fat, 0g sat fat, 0g mono fat, 2g protein, 11g carbohydrates, 90mg sodium, 0mg cholesterol.

I had one slice of this wasa light rye crispbread added to my fruit snack. Bringing my total calories for that snack to 108 calories. 327.1 (after lunch) - 108 (snack) = 219.1 calories left for the day.

About 6:30pm I had 3.5 oz steak seasoned with McCormick steak seasoning and grilled on the George Foreman grill. 129.5 calories. And 4.4oz of fresh asparagus cooked in a Ziploc Steamers bag in the microwave with a little bit of garlic powder and sea salt added to that. 26.4 calories.
So dinner came to 155.9 calories. 219.1 (after snack) - 155.9 (dinner) = 63.2 left for the day.

I didn't even eat 500 calories for the day! Crazy! Well, the kids were having watermelon for their dessert. I always crave dessert after dinner. BAD, I know. I thought well, I have 63.2 calories left still.... I'll have a small orange! Measured it out to 4oz, 52 calories. Still left me with 11.2 calories for the day.

Around 4:30pm I was feeling quite sluggish. I don't know if it was due to my different eating habits this day, or if I was just still drained from this lingering head cold I have. Either way, I stuck it out, and went swimming in our little pool with the kids. After that I was feeling better, refreshed.

After dinner, watched Americas Got Talent with my babies... then we hit the sack!

Getting started -- Days 1 & 2

So I decided to try this hCG diet out. A few of Robert's cousins have done it with lots of success. I figure why not try it? I really need a big kick start. I need to get this lump of weight off of my mid section, hips, thighs. I'm ok with my butt. hehehe! My goal with this diet is to lose 15 pounds and keep it off! I am doing a biathlon October 2nd. Running a 10K and then kayaking back down the Colorado River. ANNND... Robert has his 10 year high school reunion October 8th & 9th. I want to look good! ;)

I went to the website Roberts cousins reccomended. wwwSimplyhCG.com I read just about every word on their website. I also googled hCG. I read other websites, other peoples comments and thoughts about hCG. I decided to go ahead and stick with simplyhCG. I placed my order one day last week at about 11am, and received the products by 1pm the next day! It came from Gilbert, AZ by FedEx... so I believe that is one reason it was so quick to get here. I decided to wait and start it this last Monday (August 9, 2010). I figured it would be easier with both kids in school to not have to worry about feeding them lunch and snacks throughout most of the day. And I've always believed in starting fresh on a Monday!

So, Monday began Day 1. Days 1 & 2 are the "fat loading days". You are supposed to "gorge". Load up on as much fat as you can. Your body uses the fat you eat on these two days for needed energy during the first week of this diet. They say it is common to gain 3-6 pounds on these 2 days, but you will lose it by day 4. Also, on these two days while your gorging you are supposed to start taking the hCG drops.

So my days 1 & 2 went ok. I felt like crap mainly. I thought it would be fun and I would love to eat as much fatty foods as I can possibly handle. Well, by the afternoon of day 2 I thought to myself... it's like when you can have whatever you want, well... you just don't really want it much anymore. If that makes any sense to you. It does to me. ;)

I am going to tell you my weight and try to post every day my progress and how I feel, how much weight I lost, and what I ate that day.

I weigh in in the morning after I have emptied my bladder and I wear just my undies!

Sunday (the day before I started gorging) I weighed in at 148 pounds. (just so you know I normally fluctuate between 146-150 during a week or two time period) Friday, August 6th I weighed in at 147

Monday Day 1: weighed in at 149
Tuesday Day 2: weighed in at 150
Wednesday Day 3 (today): weighed in at 151

Will post tonight more about my day today!

Thanks for reading!

Simply hCG plan

I ordered this product through WWW.SimplyhCG.COM

The following information comes from the booklet that I received with my order from SimplyhCG.com. Booklet titled "Simply hCG Protocol & Recipe Guide":

"Dr. ATW Simeons discovered that hCG would enable dieters to subsist comfortably on a 500 calorie-per day diet. He claimed that hCG would burn stored fat, suppress appetite and redistribute fat from hard to lose places like waist, hips, and thighs. It would break down abnormal body fat and release it into your bloodstream, therefore losing inches as well as pounds. It is believe to reset your entire endocrine system which includes your metabolism and allows the weight to be kept off while protecting your body's good structural fat and keeping muscle tissue from depleting (like it would with just a 500 calorie diet without hCG). This is the reason so many people who successfully complete this protocol do not experience muscle loos or sagging skin. DO NOT attempt to observe this diet without hCG because your body will burn muscle, not the stored fat. Each day on hCG your body is believe to release 2,000 to 4,000 calories of stored fat a day, add that to the 500 calories that you are eating, most will feel very satisfied with this amount of calories and should not feel deprived.

The hCG diet must be done in a minimum of a 21 day program up to 42 days. The last 3 days of the program stop using the drops, but continue the diet for those 3 days. It will take the whole 3 days to get the hCG flushed out of your system so it is important you stick to the 500 calorie diet those last 3 days. Immediately follow with the Maintenance Phase for 3 weeks. According to Dr. Simeons's protocol the hCG diet can be repeated as many times necessary as long as you take the number of days off in between protocols that you were on the diet.
For example 3 weeks on = 3 weeks off, 6 weeks on = 6 weeks off (3 week maintenance phase is included as your part of weeks off). For lasting results 21 consecutive days is needed, if you reach your goal weight anytime after the 21 days, it is ok to stop.

If following Dr. Simeon's protocol precisely, one should see 1/2 pound to 1 pound of weight loss a day on average.

hCG works great for men as well, they tend to experience even greater and faster weight loss. The hCG dosage is the same for men and woman of all sizes."

Here is the 500 calorie diet:

This booklet also has many more pages of information. But I found this to be useful, and also to let you all know how the diet works. There are many pages of recipes in this booklet too. Very helpful.
